It is an open secret that Everton need to sign a right-back.
The latest reports in England suggest that Everton are targeting Club America right-back Jorge Sanchez.
The Mexico international joined Club America from Santos Laguna in July 2018. His contract expires in the summer of 2025.
In 112 appearances for Club America, Jorge Sanchez has managed to score two goals, and create six goals for his teammates.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Mexico. As a member of Mexico national football team, Sanchez won 15 caps.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Everton.
The Toffees are looking to sign a right-back and have identified the 23-year-old as potential transfer target.
The Mexico international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of defensive player Rafael Benítez wants to target in the summer transfer window.
Everton are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
There is no doubt that Sanchez will take Everton’s defense to a different level.
According to the report, “Club America are open to offers for Jorge Sanchez. The Mexico fullback is a target for Everton this summer. Local journalist Rubén Rodríguez reports Club America would be willing to let Everton target Sanchez leave this summer, but only in a permanent move. The Blues this week have been linked with the Mexican star, who has been competing at the Olympic Games. Club America are believed to have set their price at $10m (£7.2m) for the full-back.”
