According to the report in British Media, Everton are considering a January move for Sporting Lisbon striker Seydou Doumbia. The 29 years-old has shone since joining the Portuguese club from AS Roma this summer, scoring Champions League goals against Steaua Bucharest and Olympiakos.

Seydou Doumbia has a release clause in his contract which stands at 65 million euros which would need to be met in full before Sporting Lisbon would allow him to leave the club this winter.

How strong that interest is and whether Everton will make a winter move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
