Everton linked with shock Adam Lallana move
Everton are reportedly one of many clubs keeping tabs on England international Adam Lallana.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Everton are linked with shock Adam Lallana move.
Liverpool spent 31 million euros
to sign the England international from Southampton in the summer of 2014. The 32-year-old has a valid contract with Liverpool until June 2020.
The midfielder has banged in one goal and provided two assists in 22 matches for Liverpool this term on all fronts.
Given that his contract is expiring soon and he has not yet signed an extension, the rumors have only heated up in recent weeks.
Carlo Ancelotti is looking to shore up his midfield options and Liverpool’s Adam Lallana happens to be a target. Ancelotti is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.
Adam Lallana has the talent to play many roles in midfield.
According to the report, “Everton are eyeing Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana. The Daily Star says Everton are set to rival Arsenal for Lallana ahead of the summer transfer window. Lallana’s contract runs out at the end of the season and although the Reds still have the option to extend his stay for another year they are unlikely to take it up. Therefore, Lallana has become quite a sought-after transfer target with the absence of an asking price amid the financial turmoil caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Arsenal are said to be keeping tabs on the attacking midfielder as they are likely to face a major shortage of fees if they fail to qualify for either the Champions League or Europa League next season.”

The 32-year-old will be a good addition to Everton’s squad.
This transfer could turn out to be a bargain as the market for midfielders is inflated at the moment.
How strong that interest is and whether Everton will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
