Everton eyeing move for Roma winger Pedro
Over the past couple of weeks, there has been intense speculation over the future of Pedro at Roma.
According to the football transfer rumours in British and Italian media, Everton are eyeing move for Roma winger Pedro.
The Spain international only joined Roma from Chelsea in 2020 on a free transfer and his contract runs to June 2023.
Pedro has scored 6 goals and assisted 7 more across all competitions this season.
Adding a winger remains Everton’s top priority this summer and Everton technical director Marcel Brands will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming weeks. He is a long term admirer of Pedro.
The Toffees are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
The Spain international will offer the Everton boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.
According to the report, “Everton are showing an interest in former Barcelona and Chelsea winger Pedro. The 33-year-old still has two years left on a contract he signed last summer. The diminutive attacker managed 40 appearances in all competitions, playing a part in 13 goals for the capital club. Per CalcioMercato, Everton want to persuade Pedro to come back to the Premier League. It is unclear how the arrival of his ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho at Roma may influence Pedro’s thinking about his future.”

If Everton can agree on a fee with Roma, the deal should be easy to complete.
Good signing for Everton?
Signing the winger could be a good decision as he could improve Everton’s attacking options.
The 33-year-old is certainly a player that would strengthen the current Everton squad and would be a good buy in the summer transfer window. He could be a good fit for Everton.
How strong that interest is and whether Everton will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
