Everton considering a move for West Ham left-back Aaron Cresswell
Everton appear to have a genuine interest in signing West Ham left-back this summer.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Everton are considering a move for West Ham left-back Aaron Cresswell.
The England international joined West Ham from Ipswich Town for a fee in the region of 4.7 million euros in July 2014. His contract expires in the summer of 2021.
Since his arrival from Ipswich, Cresswell has scored four goals and provided 16 assists in 156 games for West Ham, including six assists in 32 games in all competitions this season.
The 28-year-old is considered to be one of the best left-backs in England.
As a member of England national football team, Cresswell won three caps.
Sam Allardyce wants to sign a new left-back and Aaron Cresswell is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a long term admirer of Cresswell and believes he can get the most out of the England international.
Everton will be desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
According to The Sun, “Everton want to launch a £25million summer raid for West Ham and England left-back Aaron Cresswell. Boss Sam Allardyce – who signed Cresswell for the Hammers four years ago from Ipswich – is a big fan and wants him to compete with Leighton Baines. Cresswell is a Liverpudlian and heralds from the Tranmere Rovers academy.”

Cresswell is well-learned in the West Ham’s system and an important part of the first-team. There’s no way West Ham would be willing to let Aaron Cresswell go at a bargain.
The 28-year-old is certainly a player that would strengthen the current Everton squad and would be a good buy in the summer transfer window.
