According to the football transfer rumours in English Media, Crystal Palace are preparing a swoop for Sunderland defender Patrick van Aanholt.
Patrick van Aanholt has joined Sunderland from Chelsea for a fee in the region of 2 million euros in 2014. The 26 year-old has a valid contract with Sunderland until the June 2020.
Since his arrival from Chelsea, Patrick van Aanholt has scored nine goals and provided nine assists in 95 games for Sunderland, including three goals and provided one assist in 26 games in all competition this season.
Euro Football Rumours understand that the Holland international have already told Sunderland manager David Moyes that he wants to leave the Black Cats for Crystal Palace.Sunderland manager David Moyes is prepared to accept the offer if would be allowed to him to use funds from the sale of Patrick van Aanholt.
The Holland international has been a target of Sam Allardyce as the manager looks to bolster his defensive options for the second part of the season.
