Crystal Palace are looking to sign Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar, according to the football transfer rumours in British media.
The Senegal international joined Fiorentina from Pescara in 2008. His contract expires in the summer of 2019.
Since his arrival, Babacar has scored 39 goals and provided 11 assists in 127 games for Fiorentina, including five goals and two assists in 17 games in all competitions this season.
The 24-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Senegal.
Khouma Babacar has represented Senegal at Under-17 and Under-20 level, winning 9 caps and scoring two goals, before making his senior international debut in March 2017. As a member of Senegal national football team, Khouma Babacar won three caps.
Roy Hodgson wants to sign a new striker and Khouma Babacar is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
Hodgson is a long term admirer of Babacar and believes he can get the most out of the Senegal international.

According to the report, Crystal Palace are looking into a swoop for Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar. Roy Hodgson has been alerted by the Senegalese’s availability as agents try to find him a Premier League home in the window. West Ham were keen to wrap up a loan deal for Babacar, along with the option to sign him permanently next summer. But it appears that Palace have stolen a march on their London rivals by meeting Fiorentina’s terms in full.
How strong that interest is and whether Crystal Palace will make a winter move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
