Chelsea willing to make 60 million euros offer for Gonzalo Higuain
Chelsea have reportedly made contact with Juventus over a deal to sign Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain.
It’s claimed by Italian media that Chelsea are set to sign Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The Argentina international was signed by Juventus in July 2016 from Napoli for a fee of 90 million euros. The 30-year-old has a contract until 2021 with the club.
Higuain has played 105 times for Juventus since signing from Napoli, scoring 55 goals and creating 12 assists in that time.
The 30-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Argentina.
His record for Argentina is also impressive. Higuain has scored 31 goals in 75 matches for Argentina at senior level.
Chelsea shortlist Gonzalo Higuain as prime transfer target this summer.
Maurizio Sarri is a long term admirer of Gonzalo Higuain and believes he can get the most out of the Argentina international.
The Argentina international provides a unique blend between a classic center-forward and the modern striker.
According to Football Italia, “Chelsea are prepared to pay Juventus €60m for Gonzalo Higuain and the player a three-year contract worth €7.5m per year. Maurizio Sarri has been appointed the Coach of Chelsea and it’s no secret he wants to reunite with the former Napoli striker. Meanwhile, transfer specialist Giulia Stronati claims Wednesday will see new talks between Higuain’s agent and the Premier League outfit.”

Juventus are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the striker, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.
Signing the 30-year-old in the summer transfer window would be a masterstroke from Maurizio Sarri.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Chelsea.
How strong that interest is and whether Chelsea will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
