According to multiple reports emanating from England, Chelsea will make a move for Rafael Leao.
Leao has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The Portugal international joined AC Milan from Lille for a fee in the region of 29.5 million euros in August 2019. His contract expires in the summer of 2024.
The winger has featured in 42 matches last term, netting 14 goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions.
He is considered to be one of the best wingers in Portugal. Leao has earned 9 senior caps for the Portugal national team but is yet to open his goal-scoring account for his nation.
His impressive performances last season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
Thomas Tuchel wants to sign a new winger and Leao is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

Tuchel is a long term admirer of Leao and believes he can get the most out of the Portugal international.

According to the report, “Chelsea are already moving on from Leeds United winger Raphinha. The Blues thought they had reached an agreement with Leeds for his transfer. However, Raphinha wanted a move to Barcelona, and paper reports in England and Spain suggest they have now reached a deal with Leeds as well. With Raphinha heading to Barca, The Guardian states that Chelsea will move onto Milan’s Rafael Leão. They are also assessing Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry, as both players are favorites of manager Thomas Tuchel. The Blues want to revamp their attack, which will include Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling as well.”
