His performances have seen him become the target of many Premier League clubs including Chelsea.

Maurizio Sarri wants to sign a new striker and Callum Wilson is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He will reportedly be handed a huge transfer kitty this winter and the Bournemouth striker is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.

According to The Sun, “Wilson’s start to the campaign has led for the forward to be called into Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the games against the USA and Croatia named on Thursday. Chelsea have been closely monitoring his progress for months and have seen enough to potentially make their move in January claim the Mirror. Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud who is yet to score this term as his main striker options. But neither offer the pace and directness of Wilson which could be a vital addition if they are to maintain a title challenge this season.”

Bournemouth would be wise to keep the England international, but if they do let him go expect it to be for a hefty sum.
