Chelsea set to beat Arsenal to WfL Wolfsburg left-back’s signature

WfLWolfsburg left-back has emerged as a surprise target for Chelsea ahead of the winter transfer window.

According to the football transfer rumours in German Media, Chelsea are set to beat Arsenal to WfL Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez‘s signature.

VfL Wolfsburg signed Ricardo Rodríguez from Zürich as a 19-year-old for a fee in a region of 8.75 million euros with the player signing a four-and-a-half-year deal in 2012.

Since his arrival from Zürich, the Swiss international has scored 22 goals and provided 27 assists in 174 games for VfL Wolfsburg, including two goals and provided two assists in 17 games in all competition this season.

The Swiss international has impress this season for VfL Wolfsburg and that is main reason of very big interest for his services from Chelsea and Arsenal.

Euro Football Rumours understood that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is big fan of WfL Wolfsburg left-back and he would prefer playing Rodríguez at left wing-back position.
