Chelsea remain interested in Dynamo Moscow winger Arsen Zakharyan
When it comes to the transfer market, Chelsea are simply one of the best in the business.
According to multiple reports emanating from England, Chelsea are interested in Dynamo Moscow winger Arsen Zakharyan.
The 19-year-old has two years left on his current contract which expires in 2024.
The winger has banged in 3 goals and provided 5 assists in 17 matches this term on all fronts.
He has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Russia. Zakharyan has earned 4 senior caps for the Russia national team but is yet to open his goal-scoring account for his nation.
His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
Chelsea have earmarked Dynamo Moscow winger Arsen Zakharyan as their target, with Graham Potter being a ‘huge admirer’ of the player. Potter has always been a manager who keeps his eyes on the most talented young players across the globe.
The Russia international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of winger Potter wants to target in the winter transfer window.
Graham Potter will reportedly be handed a huge transfer kitty this winter and the Dynamo Moscow winger is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.
The 19-year-old will add a new dimension to Chelsea’s attack.
According to the report, “Chelsea remain interested in Dynamo Moscow winger Arsen Zakharyan. Zakharyan was blocked from a summer move to London due to financial sanctions on Russia. The London Evening Standard says Chelsea aim to close the deal in the summer transfer window, but the negotiations remain complicated. There have been claims of Zakharyan changing his sports citizenship to Armenian, but the Football Federation of Armenia have denied this information. Chelsea and Dynamo agreed a €15m fee for the winger over the summer.”

Good signing for Chelsea?
It is smart from the club to invest in younger players, rather than splashing out big money on experienced players with no resale value.
Of course, the 19-year-old is not going to become a regular for Chelsea straightaway, but working under Potter would make him a better player.
A wide player of Zakharyan’s technical quality will undeniably be a decent coup for Chelsea if they can get him for a fair price.
How strong that interest is and whether Chelsea will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
