Chelsea are linked with surprise move for Wolves winger Adama Traore, according to the football transfer rumours in British media.

The 25-year-old has been subject to interest from various Premier League clubs.

The 25-year-old has been with Wolves since 2018, having signed for the club from Middlesbrough for 20 million euros. The Spain international’s current deal expires in 2023.

This season, Traore has scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists in 41 appearances for Wolves.

The 25-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Spain.

Adama Traore has earned 5 senior caps for the Spain national team but is yet to open his goal-scoring account for his nation.

The Spain international is set to be a man in demand in the summer transfer window, with a host of clubs queuing up to pursue his signature.

There is no doubt that Traore will take Chelsea’s attack to a different level. His tricky dribbling, fantastic shot and pace make him a nightmare for any defender to defend.

According to the report, “Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is chasing a deal for Wolves winger Adama Traore. The Telegraph says Tuchel wants a new striker, with Chelsea already registering their interest in re-signing Romelu Lukaku, whose agent was inside the Estadio do Dragao, and in Harry Kane, despite the difficulty of trying to negotiate a deal with Tottenham Hotspur. A midfielder and at least one new defender are also on the German’s wish-list which includes a right-sided player who can offer Chelsea’s squad some greater balance. Traore has emerged as a surprise target of Tuchel, who, despite being delighted with the form of Reece James, wants to add competition to the right side of defence and believes the Wolverhampton Wanderers star could offer an attacking threat at wing-back. The addition of Traore, or a similar type of player such as Borussia Monchengladbach’s Jonas Hofmann, would also help to provide cover in the wide areas with Hakim Ziyech due to play in the African Cup of Nations, which is due to run for a month at the start of next year.”
