Chelsea linked with fresh move for Andrea Belotti
The Torino striker has been identified as one of the club’s potential targets as Thomas Tuchel looks to add more reinforcements in the attacking unit.
Reports in the British media claim that Chelsea are linked with fresh move for Andrea Belotti.
The Italy international joined Torino from Palermo in 2015 for 8.4 million euros and his contract runs to June 2022.
The striker has banged in 11 goals and provided 6 assists in 26 matches for Torino this term on all fronts.
The 27-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Italy. Andrea Belotti has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 11 goals in 32 senior appearances for the Italy national team.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Chelsea.
Tuchel wants to sign a new striker and Belotti is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
The report claims that Chelsea manager has extensively scouted Belotti and is considering a move for the striker. Thomas Tuchel is a long term admirer of Belotti and believes he can get the most out of the Italy international.
The Blues are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
The Italy international provides a unique blend between a classic center-forward and the modern striker. His finishing abilities when in and around the box will come as a massive asset to Tuchel’s side.
According to the report, “Chelsea chiefs are considering a move for Torino striker Andrea Belotti. Corriere Granato says Chelsea are one of four interested Premier League sides. High flying West Ham, Jose Mourinho’s Spurs and Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton are the other teams mentioned. Thomas Tuchel’s side could look to recruit the Torino skipper as a slightly cheaper alternative to Erling Haaland or former forward Romelu Lukaku. Borussia Dortmund’s Haaland would cost Stamford Bridge brass around £150m this summer while Inter Milan’s Lukaku is thought to be available for £102m. Haaland is understood to have a release clause which can be activated at the end of next season and although it was initially believed to be set at £65m it could be closer to £100m. The report states Belotti has an £85m exit clause that only applies to foreign clubs, although he could be available for far less.”
