is the winger that Chelsea are reportedly looking at to bolster their attacking options.
According to the football transfer rumours in British and Italian media, Chelsea have entered talks with Juventus for Federico Bernardeschi.
Juventus spent 40 million euros to sign the Italy international from Fiorentina in the summer of 2017. The 26-year-old has two years left on his current contract which expires in 2022.
The winger has banged in one goal and provided one assist in 24 matches for Juventus this term on all fronts.
He’s incredibly experienced for a 26-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.
The Juventus winger has also represented the Italy at various youth levels before going on to secure 24 senior caps for his country thus far.
Frank Lampard wants to sign a new winger and Federico Bernardeschi is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
Chelsea have built a reputation for recruiting talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.
The Italy international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of winger Lampard wants to target in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
According to the report, “Chelsea are interested in Juventus midfielder Federico Bernardeschi. Gazzeta dello Sport says Juve have opened talks with Chelsea for midfielder Jorginho – and are prepared to negotiate a swap deal. Chelsea, for their part, have expressed interest in Bernardeschi. The midfielder is rated at a similar price to Jorginho and Juve would be prepared to do business. Bernardeschi isn’t regarded as a first-choice by Juve coach Maurizio Sarri, who would be willing to part with the midfielder this summer.”

Good signing for Chelsea?
A move away from Juventus will not be only the best move for Bernardeschi, but also for the club.
The 26-year-old is certainly a player that would strengthen the current Chelsea squad and would be a good buy in the summer transfer window.
The Italy international will offer the Chelsea boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.
Given Bernardeschi’s talent and potential, he would be a very good signing for Chelsea in the long run.
It will be interesting to see if Chelsea make their move for the 26-year-old in the coming weeks.
