Chelsea considering a move for Everton young winger Anthony Gordon
It’s no secret that Chelsea are interested in Everton’s winger. But who isn’t?
According to multiple reports emanating from England, Chelsea are considering a move for Everton winger Anthony Gordon. He has been subject to interest from various Premier League clubs.
The 21-year-old has come through the youth ranks of Everton and has successfully managed to establish himself as a key member of their senior team. His contract is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
The winger has found the back of the net on three occasions in 18 matches for Everton this season across various competitions.
He has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in England. Gordon has represented England at Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 25 caps and scoring six goals.
His performances have seen him become the target of many Premier League clubs including Chelsea.
Graham Potter is keen to secure at least one more signing this winter, and Gordon could very well be a man under consideration.
Anthony Gordon is a long-term target of Chelsea and could be a decent addition for Potter’s side.
The Blues are desperate to make an impact in the winter transfer window.
The 21-year-old man is a quick and agile wide player who loves to make a few driving runs with the ball out on the flanks. He is not afraid to take on his markers and can beat them with pace to set-up some promising goal-scoring opportunities for his teammates inside the opponent’s penalty area. His versatile nature can help the manager to be more flexible with the formations.
According to the report, “Chelsea considering signing ‘special’ £75m attacker this month and then loaning him straight back out. Chelsea are reportedly deliberating whether to make a move for Everton’s Anthony Gordon before the winter transfer window snaps shut. According to the Telegraph, the Stamford Bridge chain of command have once again shown interest in the attacker and could well attempt to sign him in the next week. Gordon has long been admired by the Blues, intrigue that truly began when he hit some form towards the tail end of last season. Boehly might need to break the bank once again though, having seen several offers for the forward rejected last summer. It could reportedly cost the Chelsea chief around £75m to land the lad from Liverpool.”

The 21-year-old is currently under contract until 2025. In that regard, Everton are not in a position where they have to sell. But if they choose to, they are also in a very strong position to set a hefty price tag.
It would take a huge offer from Chelsea to prise the 21-year-old winger from Everton.

Gordon has all the skillset required to be a success story at Chelsea. Therefore, it makes sense for Potter to step up his attempts to bring the English winger to London.
