Bologna join the hunt for Roma striker Patrik Schick
has emerged as a surprise target for Bologna in the winter transfer window.
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, Bologna have joined the hunt for Roma striker Patrik Schick.
The 22-year-old has been subject to interest from various Serie A clubs.
The Czech Republic international was signed by Roma from Sampdoria for a fee in the region of 9 million euros in July 2018. His contract expires in the summer of 2022.
Schick made 16 appearances across all competitions for Roma, scoring only one goal.
The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Czech Republic.
Patrik Schick has also scored 3 goals in 10 games for his country.
Filippo Inzaghi wants to sign a new striker and Schick is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.
The Czech Republic international provides a unique blend between a classic center-forward and the modern striker.
According to Football Italia, “Bologna are reportedly challenging Sampdoria for the signature of Roma striker Patrik Schick. The Czech international has struggled since joining the Giallorossi in the summer of 2017, and it’s widely reported that he’ll leave in January, at least on loan. A return to Sampdoria would be a logical option, but Il Resto del Carlino reports that Bologna are also interested. The Rossoblu want to take Schick on loan, and Roma have an incentive to do business with them. The Giallorossi are interested in Bologna’s Erick Pulgar and primavera talent Ilias Koutsoupias, so sending Schick there could open up a dialogue.”
