Barcelona eyeing Monaco wing-back Caio Henrique

The Monaco wing-back has been identified as one of the club’s potential targets as Xavi looks to add more reinforcements in the defensive unit.

He joined Monaco from Atlético Madrid for a fee in the region of 8 million euros in August 2020. His contract expires in the winter of 2027.

The wing-back has provided 4 assists in 7 matches this term on all fronts.

He is considered to be one of the best wing-backs in Brazil.

Caio Henrique has represented Brazil at Under-20 and Under-23 level, winning 24 caps.

His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.

Barcelona are looking to sign a wing-back and have identified the 25-year-old as potential transfer target.

The Brazilian is being considered by Barca for the January market. It’s suggested Henrique is being watched as a long-term replacement for Jordi Alba. The wing-back can also play in midfield and his versatility is attractive to Barca management.”
