According to multiple reports emanating from England, Aston Villa will look to sign Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez.
The 35-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Atletico spent 7 million euros to sign the Uruguay international from Barcelona in September 2020. He has a valid contract until June 2022.
The striker has featured in 36 matches this term, netting 11 goals and providing 3 assists in all competitions.
The Uruguay international will turn 36 next season but still has a lot to offer at the top level. His record for Uruguay is also impressive. Suarez has scored 67 goals in 130 matches for Uruguay at senior level.
The striker’s contract at Atletico is about to expire and a number of clubs are said to be monitoring his situation, with Aston Villa showing the most concrete interest in an attempt to lure the player to their team.
