According to the report, “Roma are searching for a new striker this summer and sporting director Tiago Pinto has reportedly targeted Torino forward Andrea Belotti. The Giallorossi are looking for a new centre-forward who could potentially replace Bosnia international Edin Dzeko. The veteran’s future is uncertain, and he will have to discuss with the club after the current campaign, but Il Corriere dello Sport claims Roma have started looking for a proven attacker. Roma have an option to buy Borja Mayoral for €15m this summer or extend his loan until June 2022 with an option to buy for €20m next year. The newspaper claims the Giallorossi have decided to renew the loan and wait until next year, with Tiago Pinto also looking at the international market. The report reveals he has identified the Granata captain Belotti as the perfect fit for La Lupa, but Milan are also monitoring the Italy international’s situation in Turin. Belotti’s contract with Torino expires in June 2022 and he has not negotiated a renewal with patron Urbano Cairo, who thus could be forced to cash in this summer. Torino are fighting for safety in Serie A and will wait until the end of the season to discuss with the striker, but Il Corriere dello Sport claims Roma is one of the preferred solutions for Belotti. The 27-year-old is looking for a leap to a big club and Roma have asked about his availability, but in addition to Milan, there are also reports of interest from Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Everton and Lyon.”
