Arsenal and Tottenham battle to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Karim Bellarabi
According to the football transfer rumours in German Media (Bild), Arsenal and Tottenham will battle to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Karim Bellarabi.
The Germany international was signed by Bayer Leverkusen in July 2011 from Eintracht Braunschweig on a free transfer. The 27-year-old has a valid contract with Bayer Leverkusen until June 2021.
Since his arrival from Eintracht Braunschweig, Bellarabi has scored 33 goals and provided 37 assists in 137 games for Bayer Leverkusen, including four goals and provided six assists in 19 games in all competitions this season.
The 27-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Germany.
Karim Bellarabi has represented Germany at Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning nine caps and scoring one goal, before making his senior international debut in October 2014. As a member of Germany national football team, Bellarabi has won 11 caps and has scored one goal.
Adding defender and winger remains Arsenal’s top priority this summer and Arsène Wenger will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming weeks.
