Arsenal to consider bid for Bayer Leverkusen forward Kevin Volland

Bayer Leverkusen’s Kevin Volland is the forward that Arsenal are reportedly looking at to bolster their attacking options.

The reports in England suggested that Arsenal are considering bid for Bayer Leverkusen forward Kevin Volland.

Bayer Leverkusen spent 20 million euros

to sign the Germany international from 1899 Hoffenheim in the summer of 2016. The 27-year-old has a valid contract with Bayer Leverkusen until June 2021.

Volland made 133 appearances across all competitions for Bayer, scoring 45 goals and supplying 29 assists in return.

The 27-year-old is considered to be one of the best forwards in Germany. As a member of Germany national football team, Volland won 10 caps and he scored one goal.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Arsenal.

Gunners scouts have watched the 27-year-old in a handful of matches and his name will be put forward to new manager Mikel Arteta, per Sky Sports. Volland prefers to play centre-forward, but can also operate on the right-wing. He scored 14 Bundesliga goals in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons.”
