Arsenal linked with Wolverhampton centre-back Willy Boly
Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on many centre-backs across the Europe.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Arsenal are linked with Willy Boly.
The France international joined Wolverhampton from Porto for a fee in the region of 12 million euros in July 2018. His contract expires in the winter of 2021.
Boly has played 92 times for Wolverhampton since signing from Porto, scoring 8 goals and creating 3 assists.
He has represented France at Under-16, Under-17, Under-19 and Under-20 level, winning 7 caps.
Adding a centre-back remains Arsenal’s top priority this winter and Unai Emery will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in January.
Emery is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.
Arsenal are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
Willy Boly has the talent to play many roles in defense.
According to Tribalfootball, “Arsenal are interested in Wolves defender Willy Boly. Unai Emery is still on the look out for defensive reinforcements after signing David Luiz and Kieran Tierney in the summer and the Wolves man may fit the bill, says The Sun. Wolves are reluctant to sell the the centre back but could make a decent profit on the £10million paid to Porto for the Frenchman’s signature. The defender scored a late winner in midweek in Wolves’ 1-0 win over Besiktas in the UEFA Europa League and has been one of the club’s best performers this season.”

It would take a huge offer from Arsenal to prise the 28-year-old centre-back from Wolverhampton.
Nevertheless, Boly stands as an excellent option for Arsenal.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Arsenal.
It will be interesting to see what happens when Arsenal come calling for Boly this winter.
