The summer transfer window is still a four months away from officially opening up. However, that does not often stop clubs for making offers to buy players from other clubs.
The latest reports in England suggest that Arsenal are linked with a move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Lazio spent 12 million euros to sign the Serbia international from Genk in the summer of 2015. He has a valid contract with Lazio until June 2024.
The midfielder has managed 14 goal contributions across all competitions in the ongoing campaign.
The 27-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Serbia. As a member of Serbia national football team, Milinkovic-Savic won 39 caps and he scored seven goals.
His impressive performances last few seasons have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
The Gunners are delving into the transfer market for an experienced midfielder and have done well to identify the 27-year-old as a potential target.
Someone with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s skillset and potential will no doubt be an excellent signing for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.

Milinkovic-Savic has been with Lazio since 2015, but believes he can play at an even higher level. According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the 27-year-old has no interest in renewing his contract with Lazio. He wants to move on in the summer, with Arsenal linked to his signature. Lazio will look for a fee of around £44.5 million this summer for the 6ft 4in star.”

The Gunners will have to present a really enticing offer to bring Lazio to the negotiating table. Arsenal have the resources to tempt them but it will be interesting to see if they are willing to overpay for the player.

Signing the 27-year-old in the summer transfer window would be a masterstroke from Mikel Arteta. He could be a good fit for Arteta’s Arsenal.
