Arsenal join the hunt for Juventus defender Medhi Benatia
There has been numerous defenders linked with Arsenal in past few months.
The reports in England suggested that Arsenal have joined the hunt for Juventus defender Medhi Benatia.
The 31-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The Morocco international joined Juventus from Bayern Munich for a fee in the region of 17 million euros in July 2017. His contract expires in the summer of 2020.
The 31-year-old is considered to be one of the best defenders in Morocco.
Benatia has scored 5 goals in 58 games for Juventus since joining the club in 2017.
His record for Morocco is also impressive. Benatia has scored 2 goals in 58 matches for Morocco at senior level.
Medhi Benatia is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Juventus this winter and the list of suitors in the Morocco international continues to grow.
Unai Emery wants to sign a new defender and Medhi Benatia is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a long term admirer of Benatia and believes he can get the most out of the Morocco international.

And according to Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb, the Gunners are vying to bring him to North London in the winter transfer window as Unai Emery looks to build on his solid start with more defensive reinforcements. It has been claimed that the Old Lady are demanding just £13million for the 31-year-old with Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli all preferred instead.”
