Al-Wahda enter talks with Everton for Allan

Everton midfielder Allan is reportedly nearing a move to Al-Wahda.

According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Al-Wahda have entered talks with Everton for Allan.

Everton spent 23.6 million euros to sign the Brazil international from Napoli in the summer of 2020. He has one year left on his current contract which expires in 2023.

In 57 appearances for Everton, Allan has create 3 goals for his teammates. He has also earned 10 senior caps for the Brazil national team but is yet to open his goal-scoring account for his nation.

Allan is out of the picture at Everton, which has opened the door for a potential exit.

Henk ten Cate wants to sign a new midfielder and Allan is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a firm fan of Everton midfielder and Al-Wahda could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense.

Al-Wahda are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

The former Napoli man will offer the Al-Wahda boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.

According to the report, “Everton midfielder Allan has opened talks to join Al-Wahda in the UAE. The Brazilian is not in favour at the Goodison Park club under manager Frank Lampard at present. The 31-year-old has been there for the past two years, since departing Napoli for £21 million. According to Football Insider, Allan could join Al-Wahda before the UAE window slams shut on October 4th. He has yet to feature in a Premier League match this term. Allan was not even in the squad when the Toffees defeated West Ham United in the Premier League last weekend.”
