Ajax eyeing move for Martin Odegaard
Ajax could be in for a busy transfer this summer.
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, Ajax are eyeing move for Real Madrid winger Martin Odegaard.
The 20-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The Norway international joined Real Madrid from Strømsgodset for a fee in the region of 11 million euros in January 2015. His contract expires in the summer of 2021. In August 2018, Odegaard was sent to Vitesse on a season-long loan.
Odegaard has scored 8 goals and assisted 9 more across all competitions this season.
The 20-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Norway.
As a member of Norway national football team, Odegaard won 16 caps.
The Ajax manager has kept an eye on Martin Odegaard for the last period and he is impressed with the winger’s performances.
The winger can also play as a attacking midfielder, offering Erik ten Hag a different option should he change his formation at Ajax.
According to Calciomercato (via The Telegraaf), “Ajax are interested in signing Odegaard and giving him a second chance at growing into the player that he could have been. At just 20 still, there is plenty of time for Odegaard to recover his career but he certainly won’t be the star that everyone initially expected him to be.”

Real Madrid are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the winger, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.
A move to Ajax is exactly what Martin Odegaard needs to reignite his career, and we hope he is able to do just that.
Ajax fans would certainly love to see him arrive at the club this summer.
