AC Milan linked with fresh move for Merih Demiral
There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Merih Demiral in the last period.
It’s claimed by Italian media that AC Milan are linked with fresh move for Merih Demiral.
The Turkey international only joined Juventus from Sassuolo in 2019 for 18 million euros and his contract runs to June 2024.
Merih Demiral has played only two times for Juventus since signing from Sassuolo.
The 21-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Turkey.
Merih Demiral has represented Turkey at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 37 caps and scoring two goals, before making his senior international debut in November 2018. As a member of Turkey national football team, Demiral won 12 caps.
The report details that Stefano Pioli feels his defense currently lacks some bite and that he could strengthen this winter.
Merih Demiral is a long-term target of Milan and could be a decent addition for Stefano Pioli’s side.
AC Milan are desperate to make an impact in the winter transfer window.
According to Calciomercato, “It’s no secret that AC Milan are looking to reinforce their squad in January, following a start to the season that hasn’t been exactly what they set out for. This evening, scouts of the Rossoneri decided to observe a player for the defence in person. In fact, they are present at the clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus at BayArena. The target? Merih Demiral. The Turkish defender has been on their radar since the summer, and given that he hasn’t played much for the Bianconeri, a move could be on the cards.”
