AC Milan eyeing Watford forward Gerard Deulofeu
Milan are on the hunt for a forward, and Gerard Deulofeu is a player who is thought to be on their radar.
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, AC Milan are eyeing Watford forward Gerard Deulofeu.
The Spain international joined Watford from Barcelona for a fee in the region of 13 million euros in July 2018. His contract expires in the summer of 2023.
Deulofeu made 30 appearances across all competitions for Watford, scoring 8 goals and supplying 6 assists in return. He is 25-year-old and has his peak years ahead.
The Spain international will be high in demand this summer, with him having enjoyed a sublime season for Watford this term.
Gennaro Gattuso wants to sign a new forward and Gerard Deulofeu is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. Gattuso is a long term admirer of Deulofeu and believes he can get the most out of the Spain international.
AC Milan are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
Gerard Deulofeu has the talent to play many roles in attack.

In January the Watford declared it impossible, but in summer the scenario could change. Especially if the English club does not have to qualify for the next Europa League. The Pozzo family, however, will not accept any offer less than 30 million euros for the ex Barcelona star.”

While many believe Gerard Deulofeu to be a promising talent, others find him extremely overrated.
It would take a huge offer from Milan to prise the 25-year-old forward from Watford.
How strong that interest is and whether Milan will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
