Sevilla linked with fresh move for Aleix Vidal

Sevilla are showing strong interest in Aleix Vidal.

According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish media, Sevilla are linked with fresh move for Barcelona right-back Aleix Vidal.

The Spain international was signed by Barcelona in July 2015 from Sevilla for a fee of 17 million euros. The 28-year-old has a contract until 2020 with the club.

Vidal has scored four goals in 51 games for Barcelona since joining the club in 2015.

The 28-year-old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Spain.

As a member of Spain national football team, Vidal won one cap.

The Spanish giants will be in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

The Spain international would be a versatile addition for the Sevilla, having featured at right-back, and in a right wing role.

According to Marca, “Sevilla have hired Pablo Machin as their new coach and this should see them embrace the flanks in the 2018/19 season, which means they’ll require depth when it comes to wingers and wing-backs. As a former Sevilla player, Aleix Vidal is constantly linked with a return to the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan and the fact that the wide man would fit one of Machin’s needs means he is being considered once again. Even though Sevilla already have Jesus Navas and Sebastien Corchia, they’ll need depth if they are to compete in three competitions next season, in addition to the Supercopa de Espana, and Vidal is still highly regarded in the Andalusian capital.”
