Real Betis eyeing move for Malaga defender Roberto Rosales

According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish media, Real Betis are eyeing move for Malaga defender Roberto Rosales.

The Venezuela international joined Malaga from Twente on a free transfer in July 2014. His contract expires in the summer of 2019.

Rosales has played 138 times for Malaga since signing from Twente, scoring two goals and creating ten assists in that time.

The 29-year-old is considered to be one of the best defenders in Venezuela.

As a member of Venezuela national football team, Rosales won 69 caps.

Quique Setién wants to sign a new right-back and Roberto Rosales is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

The Real Betis manager has kept an eye on Roberto Rosales for the last period and he is impressed with the defender’s performances.

The Venezuela international would be a versatile addition for the Real Betis, having featured at right-back and right midfield role.

According to Football Espana, ” Prominent Venezuelan journalist and Telesur reporter Miltino Ochoa now claims the full-back is on the radar of regional neighbours Betis, who are eyeing a cut-price summer deal. The Seville-based club are also said to be closing in on the signings of two free agents this summer – Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez and Takashi Inui of Eibar.

The 29-year-old is certainly a player that would strengthen the current Real Betis squad and would be a good buy in the summer transfer window.
