Bayern Munich linked with Tottenham forward Hueng-min Son

Bayern Munich are planning a move for Hueng-min Son.

According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Bayern Munich are linked with Tottenham forward Hueng-min Son.

The South Korea international joined Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee in the region of 30 million euros in August 2015. His contract expires in the summer of 2023.

Son has played 142 times for Tottenham since signing from Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 47 goals and creating 26 assists in that time.

He’s incredibly experienced for a 26-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.

Son’s record for South Korea is also impressive. He has scored 23 goals in 72 matches for South Korea at senior level.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Bayern Munich.

Niko Kovac wants to sign a new forward and Son is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.

Hueng-min Son has the talent to play many roles in attack.

According to The Sun (via Calciomercato), “Tottenham ace Heung-min Son has emerged as a transfer target for Bayern Munich after evading military service. The South Korean ace, 26, impressed for Spurs after moving from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015. Son came off the bench for the last 20 minutes of Spurs’ 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday, but has had the start of his club season disrupted by the Asian Games, where South Korea won gold. It meant he was exempted from military service with his home nation — in their long-running dispute with North Korea — as an athlete who wins an Olympic medal of any colour or Asian Games gold is excused. And his high work rate and clever movement have not evaded the attentions of the German giants Bayern Munich, according to CalcioMercato.”

A big money bid from Bayern Munich could tempt Tottenham into selling their prized asset.

Stylistically, Son would be a great fit in Bayern Munich.

How strong that interest is and whether Bayern Munich will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
