AC Milan set to sign Krzysztof Piatek

It’s no secret that AC Milan are interested in Genoa’s forward Krzysztof Piatek. But who isn’t?

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, AC Milan are set to sign Genoa forward Krzysztof Piatek.

The 23-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.

The Poland international joined Genoa from Cracovia for a fee in the region of 4.5 million euros in July 2018. His contract expires in the summer of 2022.

Piatek has played 21 times for Genoa since signing from Cracovia, scoring 19 goals and creating one assist in that time.

According to Football Italia, “Milan have reportedly joined the race to sign Genoa striking sensation Krzysztof Piatek. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have already asked Genoa about Piatek’s availability. The newspaper explains the Rossoneri have a strong case to sign the Pole as Inter and Juventus will only make moves if Mario Mandzukic or Mauro Icardi leave. Furthermore, there is ‘uncertainty’ over whether Gonzalo Higuain will stay at San Siro beyond this season.”

Genoa are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the forward, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

Undoubtedly he would be a fantastic recruit for AC Milan.
