Wolverhampton considering a move for Milan striker Andre Silva

It’s no secret that Wolverhampton are interested in Milan’s striker Andre Silva. But who isn’t?

The reports in Italy suggested that Wolverhampton will look to sign Milan striker Andre Silva.

The 22-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.

The Portugal international joined AC Milan from Porto for a fee in the region of 38 million euros in July 2017. His contract expires in the summer of 2022.

Silva has played 39 times for AC Milan since signing from Porto, scoring ten goals and creating two assists in that time.

The 22-year-old has long been touted as one of Portugal’s most promising young talents.

Andre Silva has represented Portugal at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 70 caps and scoring 31 goals, before making his senior international debut in September 2016. Nuno wants to sign a new striker and Andre Silva is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

The Portugal international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of striker Nuno wants to target in the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old provides a unique blend between a classic center-forward and the modern striker.

According to Football Italia (via Sky Sport Italia) , “Wolverhampton Wanderers are ready to make a huge offer for Milan and Portugal striker Andre Silva, claim Sky Sport Italia. The forward’s agent is Jorge Mendes, who has strong links with Wolves and believes the Premier League would be better suited to his characteristics.”

AC Milan would be wise to keep the Portugal international, but if they do let him go expect it to be for a hefty sum.

While many believe Silva to be a promising young talent, others find him extremely overrated.

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Wolverhampton.

How strong that interest is and whether Wolverhampton will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
