Sunderland interested in Bologna left-back Adam Masina

Bologna left-back Adam Masina has emerged as a surprise target for Sunderland ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media, Sunderland are interested in Bologna left-back Adam Masina.

Adam Masina has joined Bologna from Bologna U19 in July 2014. The 23 year-old has a valid contract with Bologna until June 2019.

Since his arrival from Bologna U19, Adam Masina has scored four goals and provided six assists in 91 games for Bologna, including one goal and one assist in 29 games in all competitions this season.

The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the most talented left-backs in Serie A.

Adam Masina has represented Italy at Under-21 level, winning six caps.

Bologna left-back’s fantastic form is the main reason for attracting interest from Sunderland.

The Italy international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of defensive player David Moyes wants to target in the next transfer window.

How strong that interest is and whether Sunderland will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
