Sevilla target summer free transfer for Manchester City winger Jesus Navas

According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish Media, Sevilla are targeting summer free transfer for Manchester City winger Jesus Navas.

Jesus Navas has joined Manchester City from Sevilla for a fee in the region of 20 million euros in July 2013. The 31 year-old has a valid contract with Manchester City until June 2017.

Since his arrival from Sevilla, Jesus Navas has scored eight goals and provided 39 assists in 176 games for Manchester City, including only five assists in 29 games in all competitions this season.

The 31-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Spain.

Jesus Navas has represented Spain at Under-21 level, winning five caps and scoring two goals, before making his senior international debut in November 2009. As a member of Spain national football team, Navas has won 35 caps and scored three goals.

The Spain international is a player who has impressed many European clubs in the last few seasons, and it is understood that Sevilla manager Jorge Sampaoli would prefer playing him as a right winger.

Euro Football Rumours understood that the Spain international contract runs out at the end of this season and will not be offered new contract from Manchester City. According to the rumours in Spanish Media, Navas will choose Sevilla despite interest from Serie A club Roma.
