Roma looking to loan Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media, Roma are looking to loan Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez.
Denis Suarez has joined Barcelona from Villarreal CF for a fee in the region of 3.25 million euros in July 2016. The 23 year-old has a valid contract with Barcelona until June 2020.
Since his arrival from Villarreal CF, Denis Suarez has scored three goals and provided five assists in 35 games for Barcelona in all competitions this season.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best young midfielders in Spain.
Denis Suarez has represented Spain at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 33 caps and scoring seven goals, before making his senior international debut in May 2016. As a member of Spain national football team, Suarez has won only one cap.
The Spain international is a player who has impressed many European clubs in the last season, and it is understood that Roma manager Luciano Spalletti would prefer playing him as a central midfielder..
Euro Football Rumours understood that Roma representatives are in talks with Barcelona to see if they’ll release their star on loan for the next season with option to buy.
How strong that interest is and whether Roma will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
