Roma and Juventus join the hunt for Sassuolo midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini

Roma and Juventus have joined the hunt for Sassuolo midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, according to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media.

Lorenzo Pellegrini has joined Sassuolo from Roma for a fee in the region of 1.25 million euros in July 2015. The 20 year-old has a valid contract with Sassuolo until the June 2020.

After his arrival from Roma, Lorenzo Pellegrini has scored ten goals and provided five assists in 49 games for Sassuolo in all competition.

Pellegrini has also represented Italy at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 23 caps across all age groups and scoring three goals.

The 20-year-old is considered to be one of the brightest prospects in the Serie A.

The Italy international has been in fine form for Sassuolo this season.

Lorenzo Pellegrini has been long term target of Luciano Spalletti and Massimiliano Allegri as the managers look to bolster their midfield options for the next season.

Euro Football Rumours understood that Roma have the first option on the former player, and they have the right to bring him back for 10 million euros.

How strong that interest is and whether Roma and Juventus will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
