Roma interested in Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma

Roma are interested in Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, according to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media.

Kurt Zouma has joined Chelsea from Saint-Étienne for a fee in the region of 14.6 million euros in January 2014. The 22 year-old has a valid contract with Chelsea until the June 2019.

Since his arrival from Saint-Étienne, Kurt Zouma has scored four goals and provided two assists in 62 games for Chelsea, including only six games in all competition this season.

Zouma has also represented France at Under-16, Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 40 caps across all age groups and scoring three goals. Since March 2015, he is a member of France national football team, winning only two caps.

The 22-year-old has returned from long term injury and he is considered to be one of the brightest prospects in the Premier League.

Kurt Zouma has been long term target of Luciano Spalletti as the manager look to bolster his defensive options for the next season.

According to the transfermarkt.com, Kurt Zouma’s value is around 17 million euros at the moment.

How strong that interest is and whether AS Roma will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
