Real Madrid are showing strong interest in Alisson.
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, Real Madrid are targeting Roma goalkeeper Alisson.
The Brazil international goalkeeper was signed by Roma in August 2015 from Internacional for a fee of 8 million euros. The 25-year-old has a contract until 2021 with the club.
Since his arrival from Internacional, Alisson has conceded 50 goals and provided 20 clean sheets in 51 games for Roma, including conceded 31 goals and provided 16 clean sheets in 36 games in all competitions this season.
The 25-year-old is considered to be the best goalkeeper in Brazil.
The Brazil international has been in outstanding form this season.
Alisson has represented Brazil at Under-17 and Under-20 level, winning 14 caps, before making his senior international debut in October 2015. As a member of Brazil national football team, Alisson won 22 caps.
Adding a goalkeeper remains Real Madrid’s top priority this summer and Zinedine Zidane will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming weeks.
The report claims that Real Madrid have extensively scouted Alisson and are considering a move for the goalkeeper.
Real Madrid will be in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
According to Football Italia (via Mundo Deportivo), “Los Merengues are keen to secure an upgrade for Keylor Navas, and have been heavily linked with Manchester United’s David De Gea for several seasons. Chelsea shot-stopped Thibaut Courtois is another option, but Mundo Deportivo reports that their top target is now Alisson. The Spanish champions have sent observers to watch the Brazilian on several occasions, and they brought back glowing reports. Alisson is seen as a cheaper option than De Gea or Courtois, but Mundo Deportivo also notes that Madrid could use this interest to try and convince one of the other two to push for a move.”

Roma are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the goalkeeper, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.
