Newcastle appear to have a genuine interest in signing West Ham United striker Andy Carroll this summer.

British source (Mirror) claim that Newcastle are looking to loan West Ham United striker Andy Carroll.

The England international was signed by West Ham United in July 2013 from Liverpool for a fee of 17.5 million euros. The 28-year-old has a valid contract with West Ham United until June 2019.

Since his arrival from Liverpool, Andy Carroll has scored 30 goals and provided 17 assists in 114 games for West Ham United.

Andy Carroll has represented England at Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 13 caps and scoring 6 goals, before making his senior international debut in November 2010. As a member of England national football team, Andy Carroll has won 9 caps and has scored 2 goals.

The 28-year-old is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by West Ham United this summer and the list of suitors in the England international continues to grow.
