Milan keen to land Manchester City star David Silva
AC Milan appear to have a genuine interest in signing Manchester City star David Silva.
Italian source (TMW) claim that AC Milan are keen to land Manchester City attacking midfielder David Silva.
The Spain international has joined Manchester City from Valencia for a fee of 28.75 million euros in July 2010. The 31-year-old has a valid contract with Manchester City until June 2019.
Since his arrival from Valencia, David Silva has scored 51 goals and provided 109 assists in 314 games for Manchester City, including 8 assists in 8 games in all competitions this season.
The 31-year-old is considered to be one of the best attacking midfielders in Spain.
The Spain international has been in impressive form for Manchester City this season.
David Silva has represented Spain at Under-16, Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 54 caps and scoring 23 goals, before making his senior international debut in November 2006. As a member of Spain national football team, David Silva has won 119 caps and has scored 35 goals.
There has been no movement on David Silva agreeing a contract extension at Manchester City, and he will be on the radar of many European clubs during the winter and summer transfer windows.
Vincenzo Montella wants to sign a new attacking midfielder this winter and David Silva is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
AC Milan manager is a long term admirer of David Silva and believes he can get the most out of the Spain international.
AC Milan will be in the market for just a handful of statement signings this winter who can improve the first-team.
The Spain international will definitely be a good addition to the AC Milan side.

According to the report in Italian Media, Milan still want even more top names and now seem to be targeting Silva to boost their prowess in the final third. The attacking midfielder may not end up staying with Manchester City past next summer.
Inter Milan are apparently trailing AC Milan in the pursuit of Manchester City star. How strong that interest is and whether AC Milan will make a winter move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
