Milan eyeing move for Atlanta midfielder Miguel Almiron

AC Milan appear to have a genuine interest in signing Atlanta midfielder Miguel Almiron this winter.

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, AC Milan are eyeing move for Atlanta midfielder Miguel Almiron.

The Paraguay international has joined Atlanta from Lanús for a fee in the region of 7.5 million euros in January 2017.

Miguel Almiron has played 32 times for Atlanta since signing from Lanús, scoring 9 goals and creating 8 assists in that time.

The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Paraguay.

Miguel Almiron has represented Paraguay at Under-20 level, winning 8 caps, before making his senior international debut in September 2015. As a member of Paraguay national football team, Miguel Almiron has won 3 caps.

Vincenzo Montella is looking to shore up his midfield options and Atlanta’s Miguel Almiron happens to be a target.

The AC Milan manager has kept an eye on Miguel Almiron for the last 12 months and he is impressed with the midfielder’s performances.

Vincenzo Montella is a long term admirer of Miguel Almiron and believes he can get the most out of the Paraguay international.

AC Milan will be in the market for just a handful of statement signings this winter who can improve the first-team.

According to the report in Italian media, AC Milan have held talks with Atlanta concerning Miguel Almiron. The young midfielder has also been followed by Inter Milan and Arsenal as Atlanta seemingly want 15 million euros for him.

It will be interesting to see whether AC Milan make their move during the January transfer window.

Miguel Almiron would reportedly be interested in a move this winter, but if AC Milan do want him, they will have to beat those other interested clubs to his signature.
