Milan to consider 80 million euros bid for Borussia Dortmund striker

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media (Football Italia), AC Milan will consider bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon international was signed by Borussia Dortmund in July 2013 from Saint-Étienne for a fee of 13 million euros. The 28-year-old has a valid contract with Borussia Dortmund until June 2020.

The 28-year-old has played 189 times for Borussia Dortmund since signing from Saint-Étienne, scoring 120 goals and creating 33 assists in that time.

The Gabon international has been in outstanding form for Borussia Dortmund last season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has represented Gabon at Under-23 level, winning three caps and scoring one goals, before making his senior international debut in March 2009. As a member of Gabon national football team, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has won 48 caps and has scored 19 goals.

Adding a striker remains AC Milan’s top priority this summer and Vincenzo Montella will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming days.

The Gabon international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of attacking player Vincenzo Montella wants to target in the summer transfer window.

Vincenzo Montella will reportedly be handed a huge transfer kitty this summer and the Borussia Dortmund striker is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.

AC Milan are desperate to make an impact in this summer transfer window.

Borussia Dortmund are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the striker, but offers of at least 80 million euros may force the club to consider a deal.

According to the report in Italian Media, Milan are preparing bid in the region of 80 million euros for the Gabon international. They will offer around 8 million euros per year to Aubameyang , which would make him the highest-paid player in Serie A.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would reportedly be interested in a move this summer, but if AC Milan do want him, they will have to beat those other interested clubs to his signature.
