Milan and Paris Saint-Germain battle to sign Stoke City winger Marko Arnautovic

AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are looking set to land Marko Arnautovic after Croatian Media revealed that they are in advanced negotiations with Stoke City ahead of a potential move this month.

The Austria international was signed by Stoke City in September 2013 from Werder Bremen for a fee of 2.8 million euros. The 28-year-old has a valid contract with Stoke City until June 2020.

Since his arrival from Werder Bremen, Marko Arnautovic has scored 26 goals and provided 32 assists in 145 games for Stoke City, including seven goals and provided six assists in 35 games in all competitions this season.

The 28-year-old is considered to be the best winger in Austria.

Marko Arnautovic has represented Austria at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 11 caps and scoring three goals, before making his senior international debut in October 2008. As a member of Austria national football team, Marko Arnautovic has won 62 caps and has scored 15 goals.

Marko Arnautovic has been long term target of Vincenzo Montella and Unai Emery as the managers look to bolster their attacking options for the next season.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery wants to continue to strengthening his squad so they’re able to compete both domestically and in the Champions League next season.

Vincenzo Montella will reportedly be handed a huge transfer kitty this summer and the Stoke City winger is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.

Euro Football Rumours understood that AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are offering in the region of 17.5 million euros for the Austrian winger services.
