According to the report, Manchester United have tabled a huge offer to try and sign Real Madrid star Marco Asensio this month. Jose Mourinho is desperate to strengthen his Manchester United squad before the end of the month, as the Red Devils look to claw back the growing gap to Manchester rivals City. Asensio is one of Mourinho’s top targets, despite the Spain star having a crazy 500 million euros release clause. It is said that both Real manager Zinedine Zidane and president Florentino Perez are willing to cash in on the attacking midfielder and that Mourinho believes he can make Asensio one of the world’s best players if he moves to Old Trafford.

Signing the 21-year-old in January would be a masterstroke from Jose Mourinho.

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Manchester United.

Speaking of the offer, it is still unknown exactly how much the deal will be worth.
