Manchester United eyeing Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj

Manchester United eyeing Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj, according to the football transfer rumours in Croatian Media.

Milan Badelj has joined Fiorentina from Hamburger SV for a fee in the region of 4 million euros in August 2014. The 27 year-old has a valid contract with Fiorentina until the June 2018.

Since his arrival from Hamburger SV, Milan Badelj has scored four goals and provided nine assists in 100 games for Fiorentina, including two goals and three assists in 28 games in all competition this season.

Badelj has also represented Croatia at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 64 caps across all age groups and scoring two goals. Since May 2010, Milan Badelj is a member of Croatian national team. He has won 29 caps and has scored one goal.

The 26-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in the Serie A.

The Croatia international has been in fine form for Viola this season.

Milan Badelj has been long term target of Jose Mourinho as the manager look to bolster his midfield options for the next season. Mourinho sees the Croatia international as a perfect replacement of Michael Carrick.

European powerhouses AC Milan and Inter Milan are also interested in Fiorentina’s midfielder Milan Badelj.
