According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish Media, Manchester United are in advanced negotiations with Real Madrid attacking midfielder James Rodriguez.

The Colombia international has joined Real Madrid from Monaco for a fee in the region of 75 million euros in July 2014. The 25-year-old has a valid contract with Real Madrid until June 2020.

Since his arrival from Monaco, James Rodriguez has scored 36 goals and provided 41 assists in 109 games for Real Madrid, including 11 goals and provided 13 assists in 31 games in all competitions this season.

The 25-year-old is considered to be the best football player in Colombia.

James Rodriguez has represented Colombia at Under-17 and Under-20 level, winning 19 caps and scoring four goals, before making his senior international debut in October 2011. As a member of Colombia national football team, James Rodriguez has won 53 caps and has scored 18 goals.
