Manchester City leading the chase for Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker

According to the football transfer rumours in British Media, Manchester City are leading the chase for Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker.

The England international was signed by Tottenham in July 2009 from Sheffield United for a fee of 5.9 million euros. The 26-year-old has a valid contract with Tottenham until June 2021.

Since his arrival from Sheffield United, Kyle Walker has scored four goals and provided 21 assists in 229 games for Tottenham, including six assists in 39 games in all competitions this season.

Kyle Walker has represented England at Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 14 caps, before making his senior international debut in November 2011. As a member of England national football team, Kyle Walker has won 25 caps.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants to continue to strengthening his squad so they’re able to compete both domestically and in the Champions League next season.

Pep Guardiola will reportedly be handed a huge transfer kitty this summer and the Tottenham right-back is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.

The England international is a player who has impressed many European clubs in the last few seasons, and it is understood that Manchester City manager would prefer playing him as a right-back.

Chelsea and Bayern Munich are apparently trailing Manchester City in the pursuit of Tottenham right-back.
