Manchester City interested in Altinordu goalkeeper Berke Ozer

Manchester City are interested in Altinordu goalkeeper Berke Ozer, according to the football transfer rumours in British Media (Talk Sport).

The Turkey international has joined Altinordu from Bucaspor in January 2013. The 17-year-old has a valid contract with Altinordu until June 2019.

Berke Ozer has conceded 5 goals and provided two clean sheets in 4 games for Altinordu.

The 17-year-old is considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in Turkey.

Berke Ozer has represented Turkey at Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 level, winning 22 caps.

The report claims that Manchester City manager has extensively scouted Berke Ozer and is considering a move for the goalkeeper.

According to the report in British Media, Manchester City are among the clubs attempting to sign teenage goalkeeping sensation Berke Ozer. Altinordu’s president Seyit Mehmet Ozkan has revealed that Manchester City are hoping to bring the youngster to the Premier League.

“One of the clubs trying to sign Berke Ozer is Manchester City. In total four teams are in the race. The other clubs are from Germany, Italy and Spain.” Ozkan told Turkish-Football.com.

How strong that interest is and whether Manchester City will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.

Berke Ozer would reportedly be interested in a move, but if Manchester City do want him, they will have to beat those other interested clubs to his signature.
